On Saturday, Vera was 6 months old! We are having so much fun watching her grow and learn new things! Can't believe it has been 6 months and can't believe that it will be December in 6 months!
Her newest tricks are coming quickly. She started sitting up a lot better on her own. We can let her sit for about 15 seconds. She still crashes and burns sometimes when she loses her balance. And then on Thursday of last week, she started crawling! It is an army crawl, and Grant laughs because it looks like she is only using her arms, but she can definitely travel. Here's a video:
Other things for Miss V --
-Your stats: Weight 16 lbs 10 oz (70%); Height 25 inches (25%); Head Circ. 17 inches (75%)
-You wake up about one time a night. Lately you've also been getting up early... 6 AM!
-You take at least 2 naps per day.
-You still like your pacifier.
-You LOVE your exersaucer. Especially the fish. He has won your preference over the bumblebee. You are also able to hit the little bus on it and make it play music. I'm always impressed.
-You squeal and sound like a stray cat. The pediatrician told me to watch out because you'll never stop! She predicts you will be a talkative teenager :)
-You started eating solids this weekend. We tried avocado but you spit it up. So then we went with the traditional rice cereal + your milk. You've done okay with it but give us funny looks!
-You wear 3-6 month clothes, and are starting to wear some 6-9 month. You wear size 2 diapers.
-You've started running with your dad. He is always excited to take you. You fall asleep while he runs.
-We put up your swing on the porch this weekend and you love it. Your dad called you a daredevil, as you seem to like the feeling of falling... we better watch out.
-You're curious about everything. You especially like rattles or things that jingle.
-You still have tons of hair - it is getting lighter, though. Your eyes are still brown, too.
-You're sitting up and starting to crawl. Watch out world!
We love you very much and can't wait to see you grow!
