spanish or english?

Our neighbor kid, DeDe, a second grader (I believe) recently asked me if Vera will speak English or Spanish! I asked her what she thought, and she said Spanish! So funny. I told her Vera would speak English since that's what we speak to her, but if she heard Spanish, she would learn that too. DeDe proudly said that she could ask her Spanish teacher how to talk to Vera if she ended up speaking Spanish.
