Vera's 9 month stats

Vera went to the doctor for her 9 month check-up a little late. We had to reschedule as we were out of town for her original appointment.

She weighed 20 pounds, 13 ounces! (80th %)
She was 28 inches long (80th %)
and her head was 18 inches circumference (85th %)

We were very pleased with her sizes and growth. She is a growing girl and right on track with her development. She is eating a lot more solids and is getting good at feeding herself. She is still nursing, too. Just two teeth still. She is very agile at getting up and down on her knees, feet, and to a sitting position. It is hard to remember when she didn't move much at all. She isn't standing on her own yet but is very close. She's more interested in walking (with help) lately, as Aunt Holly helped teach her how fun it was a week ago. Her favorite things to do these days are play with any toy/table she can stand up to, reach for things above her, squeal or talk, crawl, and make noise with toys!

She's a sweetheart, and we love her!

Poor Miss Vera got an ear infection over the weekend. She woke up in the middle of the night Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and had a lot of trouble going back to sleep. Sunday morning I finally thought to myself, I bet she's sick. So in to the doctor we went, and she did have an ear infection. We're looking forward to more sleep and restful days.
