Aya

Grant and I were able to spend some more time with Leah, Eric, and Aya this past weekend. I went up on Thursday and he joined me on Friday. It was soooo much fun to hang out and just see how the new family is getting along. Leah and Eric continue to do well in their adjustment to parenthood. Aya is a sweet baby and just has some trouble sleeping at night here and there. Leah's mobility/energy has greatly increased since giving birth, which I was glad about for her!

So here's some stuff we did this weekend:
Held baby Aya
Got random things for Leah while she was feeding Aya
Re-stocked diapers in the living room, where Aya gets her diaper changed for now
Loads of laundry
Cooked two yummy meals - baked pasta and enchiladas (and also made hamburger helper, good, but not included in the yummy category!)
Grant tilled Eric's garden
Eric planted his garden, which is really fun to see from the beginning
Grant cleaned Leah's car inside and out - Eric told Aya "Uncle Grant pimped your ride"
Enjoyed hanging out with my sister
Went out to eat at The Cabin (restaurant in town)

It was a lot of fun. Tonight Grant said he kinda wanted to go back next weekend since we had so much fun!

While we were gone, my parents "dog-sat" for us, letting Nobie come stay at their house. It was soooo helpful of them. And they enjoyed it! :) My mom says she is a sweet dog. They totally spoiled her - she didn't have to sleep in her crate one night and they let her stay out of her crate while she was home alone Sunday morning! I couldn't believe it. We owe them!

  1. Hi Caroline- my boyfriend is from Horton, KS not too far from Hiawatha. When you mentioned the 'cabin' I had to comment. Such a cute little place to eat! Glad your sis and niece are doing well! congrats on becoming an aunt!
