Home Projects 101: What not to do.

Well... we've had our biggest "oops" moment of home repairs. Grant filled all the holes on the walls in our living and dining room. A lot of holes. And then we figured out we didn't have good paint to touch-up with. The old homeowners left us paint, but apparently it had been awhile since they painted. The purple was runny and the green was solid. BOOO! And since it is old, I don't think we can find it. So our best idea has been to just repaint the rooms. Grant volunteered?!? :) We are looking at new colors now. Got a couple samples... the only problem is we'll probably have to prime since the colors were so dark.

BOOO, and oh well. Good way to learn, right?

Enjoy these photos. Not something we could just cover up temporarily. Oh, and we had a purple, just not dark enough. That's what we tried over the fireplace.
